The eternal search for identity and belonging

Those who were not fortunate enough 
    to have been given a solid sense of identity
    will spend a lifetime searching for one
    not knowing that they will never find
    what they are looking for
    they will wander aimlessly
    holding tightly onto whatever crosses their paths
    only to morph into anything but themselves
    self-fulfillment never occurs
    and thus, the spiralling begins

I am a pathetic and miserable creep

and yet, I am better than most people.

I'm not your average deplorable loner

and that's what sets me apart from others.

I am full of secrets, some of which

I will take with me to the grave.
